A group of @realty agents are using the power of virtual reality to achieve faster home sales for their clients.
Some agents, including Larry Clifford, have purchased a special camera with a 360 degree lens, which allows a series of 3D images to be taken of the home. Once the images are compiled and shared online, prospective purchasers are able to take a virtual tour of the property.
Mr Clifford says the new technology has helped him to reach more buyers.
“People can take a virtual ‘walk through’ the home without stepping foot inside the property. This is appealing for investors or purchasers who may be unable to attend inspections as it gives them a much better understanding of the floorplan than a static image gallery,” he said.
“I recently listed a property and after not receiving much interest, I decided to utilise the virtual tour technology to bolster the listing online , and from that I received an offer within the space of a few days.
“The purchaser had actually looked at static image gallery but had not considered buying the property until she saw the virtual tour.
“The feedback from the vendors was fantastic – they were delighted to have their property advertised in such an innovative way, with such a great result.”
