Space in abundance!
Welcome to 112 Deloraine Drive. Absolutely everything about this gorgeous home is extra-large and/or extra high.
This home was specially designed and built in 2013 by Ryde Homes for the current family’s needs. The 367.4 m2 north facing home is on a large 4, 703 m2 (1.16 acre) block in the popular suburb of Warrenup – an area where the neighbours are friendly yet everyone’s privacy is treasured.
The red painted carport at the front accommodates not 2, but 3 cars. You could easily enclose this with remote garage doors should you wish.
There’s no key needed to enter this home. A fingerprint (1 of 100 that can be programmed in) will allow you access. On entry you’re greeted by gorgeous Blackbutt-lookalike floors, wide corridors, high ceilings and light streaming in from high windows on all sides of the home.
Immediately to the right of the front door is a massive blue-painted games room/informal living area/gym – ideal for entertaining friends while watching sport or for keeping the kids occupied while the adults enjoy their space in one of the other living areas.
As you move down the corridor the formal theatre room is to the right, roughly opposite the dining area. A large wall cabinet is filled with the family’s best loved DVD’s.
To the left is an enormous, light and bright, open plan kitchen/dining area. This area is definitely the hub of the home and like the rest of the house, finished to a very high standard. There are heaps and heaps of self-closing cupboards and plenty of bench spaces, a large ceramic sink complete with its designer Italian tap, dishwasher, a massive plumbed fridge/freezer, extra wide built in gas hob and electric oven – even a super quiet extractor fan (which admittedly, impressed me). Two or more chefs could easily create master pieces here with gusto. The pantry is extra-large (of course) and easily accessible. Even the island counter has extra drawers, cupboards and electric points. The bins are cleverly hidden inside the island.
The laundry room is just off the kitchen and should impress with loads of cupboards and a wash trough, including a massive double slider which hides a deep linen cupboard. There’s direct access to the outdoor washing line. Interesting to note that this room, like all the wet areas, is completely sealed from floor to ceiling with Tarkett – a laminate manufactured in Germany from the highest quality materials which features incredibly strong constructions and allows hygienic and quick no-fuss cleaning. So strong, in fact, that I believe via their website, that their residential ranges are covered by a 25 year warranty.
Two corridors lead off from the open plan area. If we go left (closest to the kitchen counter) we enter into a long corridor with a very high skillion roof and a row of windows. You might have noticed this roof on the side view of the home. Two of these windows open at the push of a button to let in cooler air when needed. This room boasts the study, library and music room. On the left of the corridor is the second large bathroom consisting of a huge shower, double bath, designer basin and built in cupboards. Next door is a convenient separate powder room.
Continue to the left and you will find the truly enormous master suite in the far back corner with its high coffered ceiling and a French door leading to outside. A massive private dressing room (queen bedroom plus size) leads from here to the en-suite. In here you will find a 2-person sized bath, large shower, gorgeous glass basin with Italian taps and a water closet.
Let’s return to the open plan kitchen area and I’ll escort you down corridor two to the back of the home:
Past the TV room is a formal lounge with double doors leading outside. Next you will find bedroom 2, or the large sewing/art room. Beyond this is Bedroom 3 and 4 – mirror images and queen size, with a large activity/lounge room shared between them. This room is light and bright and could easily be an entertainment/lounge room for teenagers or older kids living at home. The plan was to change one of the current windows into a separate entry door as their kids got older – clever.
Between these bedrooms and the master suite is bedroom 5. It’s a very large room, currently used as an extra dressing room for the younger kids.
The house is superbly planned and well finished inside, but unfortunately the current owners haven’t had time to finish paving around the house or finishing the driveway properly before their needs changed. This home is a fantastic purchase for a savvy buyer; it just needs a few finishing touches. The completed work and asking price is a fraction of what it cost the owners. The price reflects their wish for a quick settlement with minimum conditions. All offers will be seriously considered. Floorplan attached.
